Following ongoing discussion with Dyffryn Amateur Boxing Club, Crest is pleased to announce that it will be sponsoring this community club as it looks to continue to build on previous successes and to grow its membership.
Dyffryn Amateur Boxing Club joins a growing list of local sporting organisations that Crest supports, including Llandudno Rugby Club and Llandudno Football Club, with the objective of ensuring that people of all ages and backgrounds are able to share in the mental and physical benefits of sport.
Commenting on the announcement Mr Rod Williams, Managing Director of Crest Cooperative, said:
“The pandemic highlighted the importance of mental as well as physical health and the role that sport can play in improving both, across all age groups. That is why I am proud that Crest has doubled down on its support for a range of community focused sporting clubs across Conwy County helping to ensure that these organisations can continue to provide access to low cost sporting facilities.
“We continue to seek to lead by example and draw attention to the need for greater corporate responsibility and the positive impact that businesses, here in Conwy County, can have on their local community by providing sponsorship and support to good causes and sporting organisations. During this challenging economic climate we believe that our message of “People before Profit” and our focus on giving back to our community is more important than ever!”
