With the recent pandemic and the rising cost of living, more local people are relying on our FoodShare scheme than ever. We see demand growing every week. Our FoodShare scheme relies completely on donations of food and other items. It only exists thanks to the support of local businesses and local people.
If you're wondering how you can help, here's everything you need to know about making donations to our FoodShare scheme as an individual or as a business or organisation.
HOW CAN I HELP AS AN INDIVIDUAL?
DONATE FOOD
Food poverty is a genuine problem in our community. It is far more common than you realise.
We urgently need food donations to ensure we meet the growing demand for support in our local community. Your food donations could be the difference between local people eating tomorrow – or not.
We are currently running low of the below items:
- Coffee/Tea
- Sugar
- UHT Milk
- Cooking Sauces
- Instant Mash
- Beans/Spaghetti
- Cereal
- Long Grain rice/Pasta
- Tinned Fruit
- Tinned Tomatoes
- Tinned Vegetables
- Tinned Meat/Fish
- Soup
- Jam
- Toiletries
- Crisps/Biscuits
- Deodorant
- Toilet paper
- Shower gel
- Shaving gel
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Soap
- Toothbrushes and toothpaste

If you have surplus food or other items that you can donate, please let us have them but make sure all items are sealed and in date

HOW CAN I HELP AS A BUSINESS?
Businesses can also donate to our FoodShare scheme. We are delighted to accept any donations of surplus food or other items. Whether it's a one-off donation or a regular ongoing commitment, however big or small - it will always help.
You can drop off at any of our stores or we can collect food items from your premises. Alternatively, you can make a monetary donation to support the FoodShare scheme.

REGULAR GIFTS BY STANDING ORDER
The Standing Order Form can be used to set up a regular donation from your account to ours.
GIFT AID
For cash donations past, present & future. If you are a UK Taxpayer, the charity can claim an additional 25p for every £1 you donate back from the government at no cost to yourself. All you need do is sign up for Gift Aid.
VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME
If you can't afford to donate money but have time to give instead, then why not volunteer your time. volunteers. Whether you've only got an hour a week or more, there are lots of different ways to help. Crest’s FoodShare are currently looking for volunteers to do everything from driving vans to collect the surplus food, sorting and weighing the food, distributing the food to customers, and fundraising.
