Crest attends successful Reuse Conference

A team, led by Mr Rod Williams, Manging Director, have represented Crest at this year’s annual conference of the Reuse Network.

At this event charities and social enterprises from across the UK come together to share knowledge and experience of tackling the growing cost of living crisis and supporting communities’ right across the nation.

During the conference the Crest team spoke about the challenges facing the people of Conwy and North Wales, with an increasing number of families approaching the charity for its pre-loved and upcycled furniture and white goods.

Speaking after the event Rod Williams said:

“This annual conference provides an incredible opportunity for Crest to share experiences and news ways of working with liked minded organisations from across the UK, providing an incredible insight into how the cost of living crisis is impacting people from every walk of life in every part of the country.

“With rising energy prices and a cost of living crisis impacting the worst off in our society most harshly, the work of Crest is more important than ever. We are seeing a sharp increase in demand for our furniture packs, repaired whitegoods and growing numbers of people who rely on our food share programme.

“Given this, it is so important to be able to share innovative ideas with liked minded charities and social enterprises.

“Crest is ready to help any family in need in anyway it can during what could be a difficult winter. I would also implore any would be volunteers to come along and join our team to help us reach out and help as many people across our community as possible during this difficult period.”
