Over recent weeks Crest’s Supported Ability Placement Department (SAP) has welcomed a team of dedicated and passionate Social Care level 2 and 3 students to complete work experience.
Crest’s SAP team provides support, training and care for individuals with additional learning needs, allowing them the opportunity to undertake meaningful work placement across the organisation. Benefiting from the socialisation, independent living skills and sense of fulfilment that comes from work, doing so in a friendly and supportive environment.
Having completed her time with Crest, Clare a Health and Social Care student, shared her experience:
“I just wanted to say how thankful I am for each and every one of you at Crest and how much I’ve enjoyed my time with you.
“I have learnt so much”.
Clare had worked with the team to ensure that every individual who comes to Crest’s SAP programme has a rewarding and meaningful work placement experience.
Hayley, Manager at the SAP team, added :
“Clare was a joy to support through her work placement. She will make a wonderful Health and Social Care Practitioner.”
“All of the students engaged with our hands on approach – seeing first hand how we support individuals to develop their independent living skills and feel a part of the Crest family!”.
“I would just like to thank all of the students for their incredibly hard work and wish every single one of them all the very best for the future.”
