Crest Co-operative Turns 20 This Month!

In June 1998 Crest Co-operative was established. It’s been a long journey full of many ups and downs, but we’re still here, serving our local community and beyond! Over the many years we’ve had many business partners come and go, and it was nice to catch up with some of them yesterday, as well as some old employees too!

We’d like to thank Mike Priestley, a long supporter of Crest since the beginning, Graham Thomas of Working Links, Marc Greasley of Snowdonia Fire Protection, Stephen Williams the Mayor of Colwyn Bay, Paul Bodell and Dave Pearson from Penalyn, Carol Halpin from Changing Lives in Cheshire, Simon Plumpton from the Prince’s Trust, and Heather Martin and Ian Goss from Cambrian Training. We also had representatives from Gamlins Solicitors, Denbighshire County Council, Cartrefi Conwy and more. Sorry if we have missed anyone, it was a busy afternoon!

Thanks to everyone who came in for our Crest20 gathering, it was great to see lots of faces new and old (and we don’t mean age!) Here’s to another 20 years!

We’d like to thank Paul Clarkson, our van assistant with our new project with Colwyn BID, for providing ice cream all afternoon!
Ralph our engineer never misses a sales opportunity!
It was great to see Mike Priestley (left), a great supporter of Crest over the last 20 years. It was also lovely to meet Stephen Williams, the new mayor of Colwyn Bay.

Simon Plumpton worked at Crest Co-operative for seven and a half years and now works for Prince’s Trust, and was the only one who gave us a birthday card!
It was nice to see Heather Martin and Ian Goss from Cambrian Training, who we’ve worked with for the last few years. Ian worked at Crest for four and a half years.
