A FOOTBALL club for adults with disabilities has benefited from a funding boost.
Llandudno Multi Disability FC received £500 from Crest Community Fund to purchase new tracksuits.
Social enterprise Crest Co-operative will be injecting £10, 000 back into the Conwy community during 2012-2013.
David Hanson, chairman of Llandudno Multi Disability FC, said: “Now when we are training at matches we will feel the benefit of all weathers. We look smart and feel like professionals.”
Llandudno Multi Disability FC celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. The team of footballers take part in training sessions at John Bright Leisure Centre. The talented team of male and female footballers are currently English, Welsh and Irish Champions. All players have a disability.
Over the years the team has welcomed players with a wide range of disabilities, including severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities, hearing and sight loss and behavioural issues.
