Crest helps to clear green waste from Conwy’s First World War graves

Thursday 27th November
Crest Co-operative has been helping to clear green waste from First World War graves at St Agnes Cemetery in Conwy today.
Volunteers are hoping to uncover the graves of people who served in the First World War.
Conwy resident Anna Bitowski, has recruited volunteers to help to clear her grandfather’s grave and the graves of others, who served in the war.
Crest Co-operative has cleared several bags of brambles and green waste from the site.
CAIS, Change Steps Wales, Barclays, Keep Wales Tidy and the Welsh Government, have all volunteered today and have worked hard to clear the cemetery. They hope to reveal graves, which have been lost due to overgrown brambles.
