Anna Burke has recently joined Crest as a trustee at the start of 2020. She specialises in Marketing strategies, social media and advertising through her own company called Animated Technologies, who created the intro video on the front of our website! Here’s what she has to say about Crest, her life and being a trustee!
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Anna: I’m a director at Animated Technologies. We create animated explainer videos for companies for sales and marketing purposes.
How long have you been a trustee at Crest?
Anna: I’ve just come on board as a director and I’m really excited to be invited into such a warm and welcoming community such as Crest.
What are your work experiences and background?
Anna: My background is in marketing and graphic design. I’ve worked in many agencies and companies throughout the country.
What do you do in your spare time?
Anna: Spare time? What’s that? (laughs) I have 2 young boys aged 5 and 3 which keep me very busy most of the time. When they finally sleep I love to get into a good box set and movie. But have also recently started running again after taking a break. My target for 2020 is to run my first marathon and run a 9 min mile pace!
Can you describe yourself in three words?
Anna: I am cool. (laughs)
Have you got a message for the staff, volunteers and supporters of Crest?
Anna: I’m excited to join the Crest family and hopefully help with the experience that I have to make the organisation even better.
And finally, why did you choose Crest as a place to be a volunteer trustee?
Anna: I feel that I can help Crest and give them advice and guidance, and I’d like to grow and develop myself and my own skill set to be the best version of me.
