Golden Volunteers!

Crest Co-operative recently celebrated two volunteers who have have given over 250 hours of their spare time to volunteer. Alan Pimm and Rebecca Forbes, have been awarded gold certificates to commemorate the huge milestone.

Alan, who works in our Colwyn Bay shop, joined Crest Co-operative in November 2016 and has become a huge part of the team, especially over the last few months. He’s developed a great rapport with Rob, one of our other volunteers and Alison, our retail assistant. He helps keep the shop in good order, serves customers on the till and brings their furniture to their car when needed.

“I couldn’t do without him”, said Alison. “He’s a great salesman and he’s always helpful. Alan’s very enthusiastic… He’s just brilliant!”

Rebecca works in our Work Opps department, and helps our clients with learning difficulties with their daily tasks, such as sorting through our textiles, folding leaflets and arranging our bric-a-brac for sale in the shop. She’s only been here since November last year but has already made a huge contribution to Crest Co-operative in that time.

“Everyone gets on really well with her”, says Angela, our support worker. “She’s an amazing asset to our team, and honestly, our department wouldn’t be the same without her now – all the clients love her!”

Crest Co-operative thank both Alan and Rebecca for their massive contribution to the organisation, and would like to thank to all our amazing volunteers, who average over 450 hours per month.
