Kerbside collections of purple (textiles) and pink (electrical) recycling bags are running as normal.
Crest Co-operative is the official Conwy County Borough Council contractor for the collection and recycling of textiles and small electrical items (WEEE).
Our drivers collect unwanted items in brightly coloured bags from 55,000 homes across the Conwy county. Textiles and unwanted clothing are collected in purple bags. Small electrical items, including hair dryers, toasters, irons and other electricals, are collected in pink recycling bags.

How does it work?
Recycle your clothes, shoes, accessories and more and support your local community. Use the purple bag delivered through your door and leave it out by 7am on your garden waste collection day.
What happens to the clothes next?
The service creates valuable work experience opportunities for the long term unemployed in Conwy and Denbighshire and adults with learning difficulties at Crest Co-operative. The textiles are sorted and any children’s clothing, shoes, bags and belts will be re-sold at Crest Community Store, Llandudno and Crest Furniture Reclaim (CFR), Douglas Road. All other clothing is sent to developing countries.
