Fareshare North Wales
Crest are currently in the planning process of developing a surplus food redistribution enterprise. Fareshare is a national charity in England and Scotland, Crest will be the first to run Fareshare in Wales.
The concept
To provide quality surplus food from retail wholesalers, caterers, manufacturers, retailers and redistribute it to local organisations that provide food for those in food poverty.
Organisations that will be able to benefit from Fareshare Homeless hostels, shelters/refuges, drop in services, day centres, supported housing, soup kitchens, churches, community cafes, hospices, cookery clubs and after school clubs. - Damaged packaging (minor tears that don't effect food inside)
- Returns from retailers to manufacturers
- Over manufactured
- Over stock
- Error's in packaging (printing errors)
